Euro-Bake is a proud sponsor of VooDoo Bash, an annual food and music festival that benefits the VooDoo Chef Foundation. The VooDoo Chef Foundation's mission is to provide culinary scholarships and feed those in need in the Tampa Bay community. Since its inception, the foundation has provided more than $100,000 in scholarships and helped feed more than 500 families. Previous recipients of the VooDoo Chef's scholarships include Jada Vidal, a Tampa sous chef and pop-up dinner host who's appeared on Food Network's Grocery Games and Beachside Brawl.
We started working with the VooDoo Chef Foundation thanks to our Corporate Executive Chef Carlos Villanueva. Chef Carlos got his start in the culinary world thanks to a scholarship similar to those provided by this charity, and wants to help the next generation of chefs access the same opportunities he did.
This year's VooDoo Bash will take place on Saturday, August 13th at the historic Cuban Club in Tampa, Florida. There will be food, drinks, and local musical artists and DJs performing throughout the day as well. Attendees will also help judge the #VooDie Food Fight where more than 17 teams, made up cooks, chefs, and restauranteurs, will compete for the title of "Best Burger in Tampa Bay." All competitors in the #VooDie Food Fight will be using Euro-Bake buns to build their burgers.
This year's VooDoo Bash is adding a Signature Chef Progressive Dinner to take place on August 12th. This VIP experience will feature a five course meal crafted by some of Tampa's most accomplished chefs, including our very own Chef Carlos. There will also be wine pairings from Gallo Wines and an exclusive auction to benefit The VooDoo Chef Foundation.
